OS X QUESTION
« on: June 30, 2017, 05:01:19 pm »
Just downloaded the OS X build (ver 1.0  1215.2) from the Apple Store after reading the reviews and after playing around with it for a few minutes saved a simple drawing.  Went to open it again and got an error message saying that 'BabaCAD cannot open files in the 'DXF/DWG document' format.

I thought this was extremely strange since that is the format it saved the file in (?!) and that is what the software is described as it does.  I went and grabbed one of my other files from another program I have that is a DXF and sure enough it will not open any DXF file - from the open menu any DXF file is greyed out and even in the history view all DXF files will not open that have been saved.

Can someone clue me in as to what is going on here or what I need to do to remedy this?  I have already tried rebooting to see if it is something as simple as that but the software is still not working with either DXF or DWG files.

Am running it on a Mac Pro (2013) with OS X 10.11

Try to update graphics drivers and probably the best option is to update to latest OS X. Here is video that will prove that BabaCAD for Mac (same as BabaCAD for Windows) regularly open DXF files.

Also, check review of BabaCAD for Mac on softpedia.com:

and screenshots of opening DXF files (made by softpedia's editors):
